0.2.2 REV.A RELEASE
=====================

- [ALL] fixed a bug in the difference search which could lead to an evaluation error making the difference function unusable
in the case that the game allocates more than entire user ram – 50kbs
- [ALL] Removed allocation of user ram for the difference search. This should increase compatibility with never games and reduced the plugin size of about
200bytes.
- [ALL] Various optimizations in the controller management in the menus, additionally some menus now auto repeat just like most. This alloved to reduce
the size of the plugin of 632bytes
- [GAME] Added multilevel pointer codes. This will allow you to track a point in ram by going trough a series of pointer like those seen in god of war.
this is the code type:
0×6aaaaaaa 0xvvvvvvvv
0xqqqxnnnn 0xiiiiiiii
0×Swwwwwww 0×Swwwwwww
[…]
0×Swwwwwww 0×Swwwwwww
a = the starting pointer
v = the value to store at the found point at the end
q = the offset to add to a each loop(x4) most probably you want this to be zero in this case
x = pointer type (check the normal pointers)
i = offset to add/subtract (depending to x) from the last pointed area in the pointed chains to find were to put v
n = number of times to point (you must start counting from one, so if the level of pointer you want to do is 2 you put here 2 if it’s 3 you put
3, the first pointer is considered first level, so if you put two offsets in the third line the value you need is 3)
S = offset type to find next pointer (2 for normal offset(+w), 3 for inverse offset(-w))
w = offset from the last pointed area to find the next pointer
- [GAME] some performance optimizations to avoid unnecessary repeated loops and assignments in the pointer codes
- [ALL] reworked, yes again, the db downloader now the 3.x version is libhttp based so it should work better. Plus various enhancements were added and some
additional checks and functions. No changes for the 1.x version.
- [ALL] removed some repeated code this reduced the size of the plugin of 916bytes
- [ALL] now last text file opened is reopened when you go to the text reader

With the release of Dark_Alex’s M33 Firmware 3.90 M33-2. you can download new M33 firmware updates via the Network Update feature

Requeriments:

- 3.52 M33-3 or higher

Instructions.

- Copy UPDATE folder to /PSP/GAME and run the program.

If you are in 3.90 M33, that’s all needed.
If you are in previous version, you need to download 390.PBP and put it in same folder or let
the program to download it for you.

Changes:

- Improvements in plugins loading code:
* Fixed some problems with problematic cards due to filesystem not mounted.
* Now plugins should read the faster.
* Problem fixed with lines with spaces at the end.

- Added the rest of regions to the recovery option fakeregion.

- (PSP SLIM): Added patches in nand ipl to allow Booster multiiplloader and TimeMachine iplloader to boot from nand.

Note: only 3.90 M33-2 and higher can be booted from nand in slim with those ipl loaders,
not official Sony firmwares or previous versions of M33.

Changes in updater:

- The 3.90 eboot downloading code is now more stable, no more freezes after selecting AP
- Memory stick write in the 3.90 downloading code is delayed the maximum possible for faster operation
(the system prefers big chunks of data written at once).

Dark_Alex has released that latest custom firmware for the PSP 3.80 download it now just copy to you Memory Stick “PSP/GAME/UPDATE” and run it from the xmb.

Requeriments:

- Installation requires a PSP with 3.52 M33-3 or higher. In the future installation using
panddra battery will be released.

Instructions

- Copy the UPDATE folder into /PSP/GAME/
- Get the 3.80 sony update from somewhere, and put it in same folder, with name “380.PBP”.
- Run it, the update will be done by Sony updater. At the end when you are asked to reboot the
PSP pressing X or O, do it.
Changes:

- HEN core: user mode can load now signchecked files from flash.
- recovery: flash1 format will create flash1 directories after format.
This could fix some flash1 issues with the previous versions.
- Network update from dark-alex.org page. By default is enabled.
You can turn it off in recovery (when off, network update will download sony updates as usual).
- Nids resolver for various kernel libraries.

Comments:

In 3.80 sony has changed (again) kernel nids. The nids resolver will resolve a lot of nids from firmwares 1.50-3.60
(traditional nids) to the ones of 3.80 kernel.
In general, 3.71 nids will NOT be resolved to 3.80 ones. However, to compatibilize 3.80 M33 with prx’s programmed for 3.71,
a few very 3.71 nids that were found in some 3.71 plugins will be resolved too.
More info about what is resolved in nidsresolver_status.txt.

Thanks to the combination of the nids resolver and the user libraries possibility in kernel mode added back in 3.71 M33-3,
some programs that stopped working in 3.30 M33 may work again now. One of them is PimpStreamer 0.90.

Finally, popsloader plugin from 3.71 will not work in 3.80 M33 due to its system dependancy. A new one will be rewritten for 3.80 M33.
